These cards often have limited time promotions with large bonus mile offerings. We aren’t seeing any special offer for these cards at this time.

Here is the list of the current offers:

  • Delta SkyMiles® Gold: Earn 50,000 Bonus Miles after you spend $2,000 in eligible purchases on your new Card in your first 6 months of Card Membership. (The previous offer was 70,000)
  • Delta SkyMiles® Platinum: Earn 60,000 Bonus Miles after you spend $3,000 in eligible purchases on your new Card in your first 6 months of Card Membership. (The previous offer was 90,000)
  • Delta SkyMiles® Reserve: Earn 70,000 Bonus Miles after you spend $5,000 in eligible purchases on your new Card in your first 6 months of Card Membership. (The previous offer was 100,000)

These cards have annual fees:

Our personal opinions about this offer:

  • If Delta is your main airline, then there are several perks with these cards that are worth noting: The main one being 15% off when using miles to book Award Travel on Delta flights through delta.com and the Fly Delta app. The other worthwhile perk is the free first-checked-bag perk.

There are a few things to point out about this deal:

  • You can check your application status online via this link.
  • Amex will likely deny your application if you have more than 5 or more Amex cards, or 10 or more cards total.
  • This welcome offer isn’t available if you have received a welcome bonus for any other Delta SkyMiles card within the past 24-months.
  • If you get denied and you have good credit, call their reconsideration hotline: 877-399-3083 (if you are a new account holder) Calling may not change the outcome, but there is a chance it will. You’ll also be able to get better insight in why your application was denied.
