Glitch Fare: Austin to Sao Paulo $475-$550 r/t – United / American Airlines

Update: We’re starting to see this fare show up on SkyScanner and Momondo, so there’s a good chance it’s not a glitch. Be careful about booking on sites that don’t offer a 24-hour free cancellation period. A lot of the sites on SkyScanner and Momondo don’t seem to follow the Department of Transporation guidelines on that matter.
 
United and American Airlines have flights on CheapOAir from Austin (AUS) to Sao Paulo, Brazil (SAO) for $475-$550 with a connection. Flights February until at least May.
 
Note: This doesn’t seem to price correctly on Google Flights but it does show up on the calendar. It will switch to $1320 on Google when you try to book it though.
 
Note: The last time we saw Sao Paulo for this price was on October 22, 2015.

Note: You should wait for your full confirmation code from the airline and also wait a full week after that before making any solid hotel accommodations. In short, make sure the airline has you in their system. A confirmation from CheapOAir is not good enough, you need the airline to provide a PNR, (the six character identifier that looks like this “TBQXYZ”). It may take about 8-hours for that to show up after booking. But if it takes longer, then there is probably a good chance that the ticket will not be honored, and your money will be refunded.
