American Airlines and United have round-trip flights from Austin (AUS) to Grand Cayman (GCM) for $287 with a connection. If you apply the Hopper coupon, the cost of the round-trip is about $187. Flights August to December. Departures on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday. Origin/Destination reversible. No Christmas dates available.

A Carry-on bag and also a personal item is allowed for free on American. You can avoid paying for seat selection by accepting the randomly assigned seat at the gate.

United’s “Basic Economy” fares do not allow for a free carry-on bag. Only a personal item (like a small laptop bag) is free. Seats are randomly assigned for free prior to boarding.

These types of Hopper sales are common. They usually release new coupons every month. If you manage your notification settings on the Hopper app, you will never miss another Hopper flash sale.

Whenever Hopper has these kinds of sales, all you need to do to get a good deal is pair it with a quick Expedia or Google Search, select the lowest fare from there, and then plug those dates into the Hopper app with the coupon. We’ve linked the Expedia fares with the lowest dates for each destination on our website.

Keep in mind that Hopper is an OTA, so don’t expect them to have a free 24-hour cancellation period, or the lowest base fare price. Their customer service options are via “App only”, a negative for sure. Hopper will also try to up-sell you on a lot of extras like “cancel for any reason” policies that in our opinion, suck; decline all of those extras. Be sure to sort the search results by price, Hopper doesn’t do that automatically.
