Delta SkyMiles: USA to Asia starting at 49,000 points round-trip

Delta is having a limited time sale for reward redemption flights to Asia (see list below). Fares start at 49,000 points/miles round-trip. Taxes and fees will be about $52 round-trip. Flights between January 10th to March 3rd. Deal ends tomorrow at midnight December 14th 2016.

Point redemption for these destinations will usually cost about 70,000 to 80,000 points. If we value Delta points a 1.2 cpm, we’re looking at an equivalent cash value of about $499 + tax for a round-trip flight to Japan.

Note: Fare allows for an “Open-Jaw” itinerary. You could do something like AUS-HND / SIN-AUS for the same amount of points as AUS-HND-AUS. This allows for some interesting flexibility in our opinion.
