United and Lufthansa have round-trip flights from Austin (AUS) to Madrid or Barcelona (MAD/BCN) for $459-$515 with a connection. Flights October to March. Departures on Tuesday and Wednesday. 7-day minimum stay required.
Note: Lufthansa “Light Fares” allow for 1 carry-on bag with a maximum weight restriction of 18-lbs. This will probably not be enough weight for those of you who wish to do a carry-on only trip. You can avoid seat selection fees by accepting the randomly assigned seat at the gate.

Note: Some small OTAs on Momondo have this for $368-$465. If you plan on booking there, beware of any site that charges a fee to cancel a ticket within the 24-hour “free” period. Use unknown booking sites at your own risk.
