These fares are due to United matching the Southwest 50% off sale, that we mentioned a few days ago. That sale ends today, so this sale will probably also end today.

Priceline has “Express Deals” for about $188. With “Express Deals” the airline and exact flight are hidden until after purchase and those purchases are final. There is no 24-hour free cancellation for “Express Deals”. The flight is guaranteed to be on a major airline. Be sure to select the deal with 0 to 1 stops and a layover less than 3-hours.

The weight limit will probably be the limiting factor for those of you who wish to avoid bag fees. Prioritizing heavier items in your “personal item” may be a good way to lighten your carry-on bag.
